PATCHOULI

I *LOVE* patchouli — it is my favorite on wool dryer balls, it makes towels and sheets smell SO good. Patchouli lends itself to being an oil that hangs in the air… it’s a great addition to the diffuser or any DIYs because it makes the whole aroma last longer.

Patchouli is very grounding and calming (found in peace & calming and many other blends)… it smells like instant zen. You can pair it with citrus oils and lavender to help lighten it up too! Did you know that if you’re throwing up, Patchouli might come in handy? Just take some whiffs and rub on the belly. Yep… it’s in DiGize too!

USES

+ Use Patchouli as a natural alternative to conventional deodorant! Either apply directly, dilute with jojoba oil and apply (this 30mL roller bottle makes application easy) or apply after using apple cider vinegar to cleanse the area.

+ Diffuse this grounding, woodsy oil with all kinds of other oils. Patchouli pairs well with citrus, other tree oils, and Frankincense and is a great emotional tool for releasing worry.

* Diffuse during prayer, meditation or yoga.

* Diffuse with other calming oils at bedtime to unwind.

* Autumn Picnic: 3 drops Patchouli, 3 drops Tangerine, 1 drops Clove, 2 drops Idaho Blue Spruce, 2 drops Bergamot

* Worry Less: 3 drops Patchouli, 3 drops Bergamot, 3 drops Valor

Roller Recipes with Patchouli:

* Tension Melter: Patchouli + Peppermint

* Glow Up: Patchouli, Frankincense, Blue Tansy (a skincare favorite)

* It’s a Vibe: Patchouli, Jasmine, Bergamot (a great perfume roller)

Room Spray Recipe with Patchouli:

Make a cozy room spray with Patchouli and other tree oils:

* To a 2oz glass dropper bottle add:

* 15 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce

Blue Tansy is just such a special oil and since it’s a freebie this month (WHAT?!), I wanted to really highlight it's MAGIC with you. I've gathered up a whole bunch of ideas and recipes to share...

DID YOU KNOW?

Blue Tansy is a rare botanical in the chamomile family, and it has become celebrated for its use in high-end, luxury Blue Tansy skin care products. BRASSY HAIR

If you have BLOND HAIR, or any shade of hair that has a little brassiness to tame, you can use blue tansy for natural color correcting. How? Here are three ideas:

+ Add a 1-2 drops of blue tansy to your shampoo (mix well! Add a little filtered water if needed)

+ Mix a leave-in conditioning color treatment with 1-2 drops of Blue Tansy and 2-3 Tbsp. Mirah Hair oil

+ Make a leave-in conditioning color spray —3-4 drops blue tansy, 1 tbsp Copaiba Vanilla conditioner, and a few drops of your fave hair lengthening and strengthening oils (cedar wood, lavender, rosemary). Add filtered water and combine in a 4 oz spray bottle. You could also make this with Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood hydrosol spray instead of water.
