Youth Recovery Housing Solutions, Inc. is looking for passionate volunteers to join our Board of Directors!

We’re a nonprofit on a mission to open the first sober living homes for teenagers—a critical resource that doesn’t currently exist.

Founded in 2022 by Ella Hougie and Kathleen Hawkins, we're ready to pass the torch to leaders with the time, drive, and skills to turn this vision into reality. We’re especially looking for people with experience in nonprofit work, youth recovery, housing, fundraising, or advocacy—but passion is the most important thing!

Ella and Kathleen will stay on as board members and advisors to support new leadership.

We are in need of people to do any and all of the above in our women’s home in Glen Burnie.
Our greatest need is for Tuesdays & Wednesdays, but if you’re available other days please contact us anyway for other opportunities.

We are in need of people willing to bring ingredients for dinner to our sober living home for young women and cook dinner with the women.

Over the weekend some board members, staff, and our first resident built our first garden bed to grow veggies for our community dinner program.

We are in the start-up phases of becoming Maryland’s first sober living designed specifically to support adolescents. Our mission is to address the inequity in our existing recovery systems for Substance Use Disorder. We want to provide adolescents with a specialized living environment that supports the opportunity for long-term recovery. Please share and let us make this happen!
