Hi, hey, hello! We’re kicking off the new year by introducing our founder, Elena Fader Hurlburt.
She’s in her element with all things related to communication access for all:
- Speech-language pathologist (SLP) with degrees from the University of Vermont & UMass Amherst
- Graduate of the assistive technology program at University of Illinois Chicago
- Has over a decade of experiences conducting and overseeing speech/language and assistive technology services
- National presenter for organizations such as The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, SpeechPathology.com, Assistive Technology Industry Association, and Closing The Gap
- Contributing author to an augmentative & alternative communication (AAC) textbook
She’s not just an SLP, she also:
- is a toddler-mom, immersed in real-life learning and language development
- loves a good cup of coffee & going on outdoor adventures
- goes to the shore for "beach therapy" as often as possible
