UPDATE from Dr Travis Stickle

06/05/2025

Update on Dr Travis Stickle
Travis was released from the hospital on Monday afternoon. There is still no definite answers as to why this continues to happen. They are adjusting his warfarin dosages, thinking that may possibly be the issue, but only time will tell. We have no time frame of when or if he will be able to return to work. As of now, the office is closed, but I will update more as I know. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks to everyone.

UPDATE on Dr Travis Stickle
Sadly I am here to report that we still have no definite answers… they see from the surgery in July,2024 that the lung is touching the wall, and they see blood, but realistically can’t do anything with that, and if it happens again, to come straight back…..REALLY!!!
Travis asked to speak to a case worker per say, and ask for more testing….this is no way to live. This from Travis this morning.
“Docs have come by, cardio ready to send me home. Thoracic intern wants to push for a CT scan of my neck. Her boss has to approve…..fingers crossed. Otherwise they are working on get my INR back up to send me hone. “
This is ridiculous…..we need assurance that this will not continue…..please keep him in your prayers. I will post more as I know. Travis appreciates of your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE ON DR TRAVIS STICKLE
Travis had an issue once again on Wednesday evening, which landed him in the ER at Alleghany, then at 4:30AM Thursday morning he was transferred to Lewis Gale ER in Salem, Va. He stayed in the ER till Thursday evening around 7, where they put him in a regular room. He was transferred to VCU in Richmond on Friday morning at 6:30AM. Once there, they scheduled a CT scan. What I am about to type came directly from Travis.

A vascular doctor just came through and said they are waiting on the CT scan to make any assumptions. He said that if it is the stent they need to make” darn sure because the procedure to repair that has a high morbid rate”. Uh….Great day to start the day.

So now….we wait for results…
This came from Travis
Good morning everyone. I’m in VCU as they try to determine the source of my recent episodes of bleeding. I had a CT scan this morning, and hope that it provides the doctors with the insight that we need. I’m praying that the stent which was implanted last year is intact and not causing any erosion of the aorta. I pray they find the source of bleeding and we are able to resolve it quickly and easily. It’s a miracle that I survived last year’s crisis and I’m confident that God has a plan for me and this is just another part. I appreciate all the love and prayers.
CT Scan results …..Sunday morning, May 25th
The vascular surgeon came through this morning. They have clear pictures of the stent repair and were able to rule it out as an issue. There is a clear separation between the aorta and the lung. Amen!! They are going to do further investigation into other vascular possibilities. I suggested GI, and he agreed.

I know this was a long post, but wanted everyone to know what has been going on…..it is the holiday weekend, so……we are sure nothing will be done till Tuesday. Once again we appreciate all the calls, text and prayers. Please keep Travis in your prayers. I will give another update when we know more.
