Last night, in the middle of my daughter’s practice 🏃‍♀️, I found myself pausing… really taking in what was all around me 🌅. Watching her push through both physically and emotionally. She was trying something new, something hard.

Then, the sky shifted. There were soft clouds forming what looked like a quiet reminder… a subtle yet beautiful 🤍.

A moment I didn’t expect, but one I very much needed. There are moments in life that can easily pull you out of center. But that moment from last night stayed with me... a gentle nudge to slow down, to breathe, to simply notice.

Sometimes the reminders we need don’t always come loudly. They show up in the simplest, most unexpected ways.

Remember, you can always return to center. Ground yourself. There is beauty here. And of course, there is so much love here 💜.

Stay mindful ✨️

I don’t often comment on current events, but the tragic death of feels important to acknowledge.

As a mental health clinician in private practice, safety is a critical part of our work—and one that isn’t always openly discussed. While situations like this are rare, moments like these remind us of the importance of continually revisiting safety protocols so we can remain fully present for our clients and return home safely to our families.
In a world that feels increasingly tense and divided, it’s interesting how even nature is asking us to pause, stay in, reset, and reconnect—both with ourselves and with one another.

Please be kind to each other. When life feels heavy or overwhelming, know that there are always supports and solutions available. Extreme reactions are never the answer.

☃️ Mindful Moments over the holidays....

As noted before, the holidays 🎄 are a time of joy and laughter. At the same time they can feel especially heavy when stress is high and resources feel tight. When money 💰 is stretched, the pressure to "do more" can quietly turn into anxiety and overwhelm 😵‍💫 for some.

Mindfulness doesn't have to cost a thing!
A simple walk outdoors. Cold air filling your 🫁. Footprints in the snow showing that someone has already passed this way (and you are not alone)👣.

Nature invites us to slow down and return to what truly matters 🙏🏼. Each step becomes an anchor. Each breath a reset. You don't need perfection, presents 🎁, or plans...just presence ✨️.

If the holidays feel like too much, try this today:

❄️ Take a step outside, even for a short moment
❄️ Notice the crunch beneath your feet
❄️ Take a few slow deep belly breaths
❄️ Allow this moment to be enough for you

As a mental health and mindfulness professional, I often remind my clients (and myself!): peace is found in simple moments, not expensive ones.

Always take it slow and be kind to yourself 🙏🏼.

A Gentle Reminder in the ✨️Glow of the Season...

The holidays can be beautiful — but they can also feel heavy. For many, this time of year brings stress, overwhelm, and the quiet pressure to “hold it all together.” If that’s you, please know this: you’re not alone, and you’re not doing anything wrong.

As you look at the lights 🕯on the trees🌲, let them offer a small invitation 🤲🏼:

🎄 Pause.
Allow yourself one slow breath, even if the world around you feels fast.

🎄 Notice.
Take in the glow, the colors, the stillness between the twinkling lights. Let your senses anchor you back into the present moment.

🎄 Soften.
Let your shoulders lower. Unclench your jaw. Give yourself permission to feel what’s here without judgment.

Mindfulness doesn’t require silence, perfection, or a clear schedule — only your willingness to come back to yourself, one breath at a time.

This season, may you find moments of calm woven between the busy ones… and may you remember that caring for your mental health is a gift 🎁, not a luxury.

✨ Mindful Moments in the Holiday Magic ✨

The holiday season often asks us to do more, give more, be more. But sometimes the most healing thing we can do is simply pause — just like my little one taking in the wonder of the Macy’s window displays.

As adults, we forget what children remember so naturally:

✨ How to be fully absorbed in the moment

✨ How to slow down long enough to notice the
beauty in front of us

✨ How to let curiosity soften stress and reconnect us to joy

This season, give yourself permission to step out of the rush and into presence. Take a breath🌬. Feel your feet on the ground. Look around with gentle awareness.

Let yourself experience the moment without needing anything to be different. Remember, you deserve to feel grounded, calm, and connected — even during the busiest time of year. 🌟

Late-night Thanksgiving prep is its own kind of blessing — a quiet reminder to slow down and be fully present.

Tonight, making this cranberry sauce became a moment to activate the senses and pause with intention. There’s no rush. Just the sound of water beginning to boil… the berries gently simmering until they pop… the slow motion of stirring everything together.

In these simple rituals, gratitude grows.
Feeling blessed for the gift of this moment, and for the many moments life continues to offer.

Wishing you a mindful and heart-filled Thanksgiving. 🙏🏼🧡🥧🍁

Slowing down on cold practice evenings and soaking in the colors of the sunset is one of the simplest ways to practice mindfulness. 🌅✨

Pause. Breathe. Take in the sights, the sounds, and the quiet moments that remind you how much there is to be grateful for. 💜

Let the day settle. Let gratitude rise.

💜💚 Purple Goes Green 💚💜

I was grateful for the opportunity to speak on mental health & join an inspiring panel as the Epilepsy Foundation highlights the powerful connection between epilepsy & mental well-being.

Connecting with families living with epilepsy was truly moving—hearing their stories, feeling their resilience, and witnessing their strength reminded me why this work matters so much.

A special highlight was meeting Paul Quinn and his amazing mom, Colleen. They are the definition of turning frustration and fear into purpose, impact, and positive change. Their advocacy has created real movement for every student in NJ living with epilepsy. If you don’t know Paul’s story yet, it’s absolutely worth checking out.

Thank you to the Epilepsy Foundation of NJ for inviting my husband and me to be part of Brunch 4 Brains 🧠💜.

So So So 💜💚

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country — those who have shown courage, sacrifice, and strength in ways that inspire us all.

As we move through our busy lives, may we practice a little bit of mindfulness by taking a quiet moment of gratitude — to breathe, to be present, and to truly reflect on the freedom and peace their service has made possible.

Let’s not let this be just a single day of remembrance, but a mindful awareness we carry with us — through kindness, compassion, and appreciation each day.

Take a full deep belly breath. Honor. Remember. Be present.

Thank you 🙏🏼🇺🇸

💜 November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month 💜

3.4 million people in the U.S. live with epilepsy — and one of them is my other half.

For our family, awareness isn’t just a day or a month… it’s every day. When my husband was dx, there was relief in finally having an answer, but also uncertainty about what the future would hold. With the right team of medical professionals and a strong support system, we’ve learned what works for him — one step, one moment at a time.

As a practitioner, I often remind others (& myself) not to get lost in what we can’t control. Staying present has been our greatest strength — because life doesn’t pause, and neither do we.

Watching my husband cross the finish line of his 12th marathon (and 9th ) almost 2 weeks ago now was more than a proud moment — it was a powerful reminder of endurance, courage, and the quiet strength so many carry. You never truly know someone’s story just by looking at them.

Our daughter gets to see what perseverance looks like — and that’s a gift. 💜

We are with epilepsy — today, this month, and every day.

Shifting skies ☁️

For some of us, today is . This sometimes brings forward quite a bit of feelings for some. So I'm sharing a quick thought here as you go about your day and head to the polls, if you haven't already 😉.

Life is just like the clouds in the sky. It is never the same twice. Clouds move, colors change, sunlight fades and comes back 🌤.

Life is in fact the same. Some moments can feel heavy and dark 😢, while others can feel bright and calm 🧘🏻‍♀️. And just like the sky, all of this can be part of the same day.

Mindfulness is noticing it all. Noticing all of the moments. Noticing the movement, the beauty, the impermanence of life. All of this without holding onto or pushing away. There is meaning to all of it.

I invite you to take a full deep belly breath. Look up. Notice how everything changes. And remember that is okay. 💜
