The Community Closet will be open today, Wednesday Jan 14th from 2-5:30 PM. Stop in to “shop” for clothing and housewares. Men’s, Women’s and Children’s sizes. We also accept clean, stain and hole free donations.

The Friendly Community Center is excited to welcome our new neighbor, Momentum Fitness and Nutrition, to the Barrett Township community! For over 10 years, the FCC has proudly offered a wide variety of group fitness, health and relaxation classes for all ages, and three years ago we were thrilled to make BARC our new home. We look forward to coordinating with Momentum bringing, affordable, high-quality fitness and wellness opportunities for our community. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier Barrett Township!

A Place to Stay Healthy, Keep Fit & Have Fun

The Friendly Community Center’s Mission is to provide programs and services to adults, caregivers and families that will help them “Stay Healthy, Keep Fit and Have Fun” by providing opportunities for people of all abilities, from active adults to the frail elderly – as well as our community at large — to participate in social, recreational, health and fitness, arts and humanities, and lifelong learning activities. The FCC offers a variety of programs including, Chair Yoga, Cardio Sculpt, Cooking classes, Qi Gong, Men Get Fit, Art Classes and learning opportunities on a various topics from Gardening to Safe Driving. In addition, we offer opportunities for people with Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and their caregiver’s to participate in programs such as Music Therapy, Memory Café and Dance & Movement. The Friendly Community Center located on Route 191 in Mountainhome, and welcome people of all ages and living in surrounding communities to check out our programs to see which ones are the right “Fit” for you.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Mission of The Friendly Community Center is to provide programs and services to adults, caregivers and families that will help them “Stay Healthy, Keep Fit and Have Fun” by providing opportunities for people of all abilities, from active adults to the frail elderly – as well as our community at large — to participate in social, recreational, health and fitness, arts and humanities, and lifelong learning activities. The Friendly Community Center is an approved Public Charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
