For the rest of January readings are discounted they are discounted to $20 from $40! I also am booking for events starting January also. My readings will be virtual for now, via zoom or FaceTime, recorded video sent to you to look back on whenever, or I do travel but charge a price depending on how far. I also do home mediumship readings, cleansings, and much more. All are under my info of services. You can also book me for parties, events, etc!

I also am doing more spell work, so whether it be for prosperity, protection, hexes, hex/jinx removing, reversal, law, I am now offering those more also.

I’m also available for paranormal investigations again, if anyone needs a psychic medium to tag along. I didn’t want to when I was pregnant, and still will be careful, but also offer that service as well.

And last but not least, I am a reiki master teacher and offer reiki sessions and one on one lessons also if interested. I also do sound healing with my sessions, or just sound healing alone.

I just wanted to hop on here and say thank you to absolutely everyone for the past year of events and bookings. I am still doing events until the end of this month. I am expecting a spooky little ghoul November 23rd, and unfortunately due to pregnancy and a change in my schedule and starting a new job, doing events these last couple months have been rough and I’ve had to unfortunately cancel a few which I HATE doing. I hate letting people down who have booked me, but right now baby Scarlett and my health has to come first until she is born.

I appreciate all the love and kindness everyone has shown me through my pregnancy, and all the love and support Scarlett will have once she is here also! I can’t wait to bring a mini me into this wonderful community and have her grow up around such amazing people and have her tag along to events when she’s old enough.

I WILL still be booking readings and one on one sessions, they can be via zoom, recorded videos sent to you personally to view on your own time, or whatever way is best for you. I just ask anyone who books to be patient once November hits and thru January as I will be on leave and caring for Scarlett. I will still be doing virtual readings though to those that are in need or want of one. I also will still be offering reiki sessions as well, just one on one.

If anyone wants an in person reading before the month is over you can catch me at a few more events until Halloween! 🎃

Host Kara Philip sits for a Tarot reading from Vanessa Staron

I thought the The Fool from the Tarot deck was the origin of what we call Jokers today...but that's not true. The Fool has been around since the earliest days of Tarot in the 1430s, acting as an un-numbered card in the Major Arcana. Its function changes somewhat depending on the region the game is played, but the Major Arcana is a 5th, superior suit to the traditional 4 suits, and The Fool is the sometimes the highest of the Major Arcana. It also can be used to protect against the loss of another powerful card. When tarot became known for its fortune telling abilities is disputed, but seems to have been in the late 1700s.

The Joker, on the other hand, first appeared in the late 1800s. It wasn't the wild card that it is today yet, starting out as simply an un-suited Jack.
