This is GREAT NEWS!

“The United States on Wednesday renewed the COVID-19 public health emergency, allowing millions of Americans to keep getting free tests, vaccines and treatments for at least three more months.” The emergency “was due to expire on April 16.” Now, “the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in a statement said it was extending the public health emergency and that it will give states 60 days notice prior to termination or expiration.”

Question - I tested positive for COVID and I have symptoms. When can I retest?

Answer - When you have symptoms of COVID and have received a positive test, please isolate yourself. Please follow the CDC guidelines about retesting; test again 10 days after symptom onset and after any fever has been gone for at least 24 hours.

If it has not been 10 days since symptoms began, or if you are still experiencing a fever, please isolate and wait to request a retest.
