Depression during perimenopause or post-menopause is something many of us don’t talk about enough. The mood swings, the anxiety, the loss of energy or motivation — they can sneak up quietly and make you feel unlike yourself. I’ve learned that it’s not just “in your head.” Hormonal shifts, sleep changes, and life transitions all play a part.

But there are ways to care for yourself through it.💗
I’ve found that staying connected — even when I don’t feel like it — really helps. Getting outside for a walk, journaling my thoughts, or taking a few quiet moments to breathe can shift the day just a little. Eating well, moving gently, and reaching out for support (whether from a friend, doctor, or therapist) are all acts of self-kindness that truly matter.

If you’re in this season too, please know you’re not alone. Be gentle with yourself. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but with small, loving steps — it does happen. 🥰
