Everyone experiences anxiety from time to time, and that's a completely normal and healthy part of life. Unfortunately, though, some people suffer from true anxiety disorders that interfere with their daily lives.

Mental illness can be influenced by genetics.

There is a higher likelihood of developing a mental illness if a close family member has one. It is not a direct inheritance. Mental illness is complex and genetics are a piece of the puzzle.
Environmental factors and life experiences also play a significant role.
