Su***de doesn’t kill people, sadness does.
Let’s talk about it
1️⃣ Behind every su***de is a story of deep sadness, pain, and hopelessness that went unseen or unheard.
People don’t die because they want to end their life—they die because they want to end their pain.
2️⃣ Many are walking around smiling, laughing, and pretending everything is fine, while inside they are slowly falling apart.
Depression wears many masks. The strongest ones often hide the deepest wounds.
3️⃣ Sadness becomes deadly when it turns into silence—when people feel like no one would understand, when they fear judgment, or when they believe their pain doesn’t matter.
4️⃣ That’s why listening is powerful. Sometimes, all a person needs is to be heard—without advice, without correction, just with love and presence.
5️⃣ Check on your friends, even the happy ones.
Check on the strong ones, the quiet ones, the ones who always say “I’m fine.”
Sometimes, “I’m fine” means “I’m breaking inside.”
6️⃣ Healing begins when people feel safe to speak about their pain without being shamed or dismissed.
A simple, “I’m here for you” can be life-saving.
7️⃣ Remember, sadness doesn’t have to end in silence.
There is help. There is hope. There is healing. 💛
8️⃣ If you’re struggling, please don’t go through it alone. Talk to someone—a friend, a counselor, a pastor, a mental health professional.
Your life matters. Your story isn’t over yet. 🌿

I was asked how many Veterans have we saved from Su***de out of the hundreds we have worked with. I don’t know. All I know are two we couldn’t reach.
