🌟 SHARE! Spotlight: Bonnie’s Journey “One meeting, one phone call, one decision, one friendship can change your life.” 💛

When Bonnie was experiencing homelessness, a friend encouraged her to call SHARE!. That call opened the door to a free two-week stay at the SHARE! Recovery Retreat — a place where she found community, connection, and hope.

Her experience at the Retreat became the gateway to moving into SHARE! Collaborative Housing and visiting our Peer-Run Centers, where she continues building friendships and creating a new life filled with support and possibility.

Watch Bonnie share her powerful story of recovery, resilience, and finding home in the coming weeks as we share more of Bonnie’s journey.

Meet Sandra Lopez, SHARE!’s new Program Manager for the Veteran Peer Access Network () Supervisorial District 2! 🇺🇸💙

Sandra brings over seven years of leadership experience in veteran services, outreach, and program management. She has worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Space Force, and the Weingart Center, where she strengthened peer support programs, built partnerships, and improved outcomes for veterans and their families.

In her new role, Sandra will oversee SHARE!’s VPAN SD 2 contract, lead strategic planning and compliance, supervise Squad Leaders and Battle Buddies, and expand partnerships with veteran-serving agencies across Los Angeles County.

Most recently, Sandra founded and led a nonprofit supporting veterans and military families through peer support and creative programming.

Every day, they offer hope, understanding, and connection to people navigating mental health, addiction, and trauma-related challenges.

Through SHARE!’s Peer Specialist Training, participants learn to transform their personal recovery journeys into professional skills that empower others — helping to build a stronger, more compassionate mental health community across Los Angeles County. SHARE! extends our heartfelt thanks to Robert Strock, Founder of The Global Bridge Foundation, for his generous donation and invaluable advisory support that continue to strengthen our mission.

The Global Bridge Foundation funded SHARE!’s grant writer, directly contributing to our recent $3 million BCHIP award to expand our peer respite program from one home to three—adding 25 new beds and reaching hundreds more Angelenos each year with peer-led, trauma-informed care.

The grant from The Global Bridge Foundation also supports SHARE!’s success in housing people and helping them transition off government subsidies for a fraction of the cost of traditional housing programs.

We are deeply grateful for Mr. Strock’s generosity, vision, and hands-on guidance in growing SHARE!’s programs. The Global Bridge Foundation continues to empower people experiencing homelessness and poverty through housing, clean water, and regenerative agriculture initiatives worldwide.
