Over 300 residents came to the Soleil Laurel Canyon Health Fair with one goal: to put their health first! 💪

🚨 Think hernias are only an adult problem? Kids can get them too!

Dr. Elmore treats pediatric hernias regularly and says they often look and behave differently from hernias in adults. In kids, hernias usually happen because there’s a small channel or “pathway” in the abdomen that didn’t fully close after birth. This leftover opening, what Dr. Elmore calls a “residual communication”, can let tissue or organs push through, creating a hernia.
