This celebration wasn’t just about awards—it was about recognizing the incredible people who make this organization what it is.

Congratulations to everyone who was recognized, and thank you to every EMT/EMR, paramedic, supervisor, office employee, and support staff member who shows up day after day to serve our community.

Watching our people be celebrated, seeing families share in those special moments, and having the opportunity to tell some truly deserving individuals how much they mean to our team was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

Thank you all for everything you give to this profession, to our organization, and to each other. I am proud to stand beside you.

Heroic Recognition – Life-Saving Courage

At a recent Town Hall meeting in Golden Meadow,
14-year-old Braelyn Bousigard was formally recognized by the Golden Meadow Police Jury, Police Department, and Fire Department for her extraordinary bravery and quick action.

When her father suffered a life-threatening emergency, Braelyn immediately performed CPR—demonstrating remarkable composure, courage, and presence of mind beyond her years.

Her actions directly saved her father’s life.

This recognition honors not only her heroism, but also serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of CPR training and the impact one individual can have in a critical moment.
