To the future therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, psych nurses, licensed counselors, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners—this opportunity is for you.

Thank you for choosing to take on the beautiful but heavy work of destigmatizing mental illness in the BLACK community. I started the Changing the World One Mind at a Time Scholarship because I know how hard this path can be, and I can only hope it gives some of you the extra push you need to keep going.

Please know—I believe in you and will root for you every step of the way. Good luck!

I’m so excited (and full of gratitude) to announce the Changing the World One Mind at a Time Scholarship for the 6th year in a row. When I first started this scholarship, I literally went into the negative in my account—but I truly believed those students needed it more than I did. I’ve learned boundaries since then, but every year my heart gets more connected to this purpose, this passion, this life. I’m just grateful to still be able to pour into the next generation of therapists.

Here’s to changing the world—may we be the ones who leave it better than we found it.

ANNOUNCEMENT Tomorrow.

People forget friendships matter too. The right friends can save your life.

Many individuals struggle with conflict resolution because they focus on the wrong objectives during conversations; they seek understanding and agreement, whereas conflict resolution does not necessitate others to comprehend one's perspective or accept one's behavior or solution. Conflict can be resolved through acceptance and compromise.
