Our customizable 3D brains can help you empower your clients to better understand their brains and step out of the cycle...
In our world, we can move toward pleasurable or painful activities. As a culture, we encourage one another to chase after "whatever" feels good. And everywhere we turn, if we choose, we can find that "whatever." And each time we find our "whatever", we get a jolt of the "feel good" neurotransmitter, DOPAMINE. A single jolt of DOPAMINE isn't a problem. But sometimes we can't stop, and our brain becomes saturated with DOPAMINE. This is when problems occur. Our brain desires balance. As part of finding that balance, the brain has the ability to temporarily close the door to the flood of DOPAMINE through a process known as down-regulation. When this occurs, we can end up feeling anxious and depressed. And often, we quickly re-engage in the chase again rather than sitting temporarily with the pain allowing the brain to reset. Our 3D brain model can assist you in explaining this cycle to clients who may want to get out of this vicious cycle!
