☀️ Christmas in July was a hit at Pleasant Manor Healthcare & Rehabilitation!

A huge thank you to our wonderful community partners, Hospice, for bringing the holiday cheer (and a few confused smiles 😄) to our residents. From festive fun to heartfelt moments, the day was filled with laughter, joy, and a whole lot of love.

Celebrating the vibrant personalities of our residents is what we do best—and events like this remind us how special our community truly is. ❤️

At Pleasant Manor Healthcare & Rehabilitation, we love finding ways to brighten our residents’ days. This past Friday, we welcomed one of our favorite therapy dogs for Pet Photo Day!

Our residents enjoyed quality time with this sweet pup—sharing smiles, hugs, and capturing special moments. Activities like these are just one of the many ways we focus on both quality care and quality of life for our residents.

Our amazing activities coordinator is spreading her wings to pursue a career in physical therapy, and we're seeking a dynamic individual to take the reins. We kicked things off with a bang—and a breakfast bar! Our amazing nursing team started the day with delicious eats, followed by games, laughter, and plenty of fun. Nurses earned tickets for our BIG prize drawing happening at the end of the week—so keep that energy up!

But wait… we’re just getting started!

Stay tuned all week long for themed dress-up days, surprise treats, pop-up games, and more chances to win BIG. This week is all about celebrating YOU—our rockstar nurses who make a difference every single day.

This past week, my incredible team at Pleasant Manor made me feel like a rockstar (and let’s be honest, I don’t hate it). They showered me with love, gifts, and enough appreciation to make even the toughest administrator tear up—but don’t tell anyone.

The truth is, I’m the lucky one. I get to work with the best clinicians, therapists, and healthcare professionals in the game. Pleasant Manor may have been “a little old” once upon a time, but not anymore—this team is setting the standard for skilled nursing care in Ellis County.

So, why is Pleasant Manor thriving? Simple: because of the amazing, dedicated, and slightly crazy (in the best way) team I get to surround myself with every single day. Y’all make this job not just rewarding but downright fun.

Super grateful for each and every one of you. Now, back to work—those call lights won’t answer themselves!
