Nashville here I come!

Praying this short trip to the is a momentum shift for me, my family, & my coaching!

We’ve had a tough 13 months & we’re ready for something different ❤️ A little break from it all to fellowship with the Coach tribe will be a fun way to reset 🥰

Day 31!

Spent the day teaching these cuties baseball basics. Dexter is a natural & Dalton likes to play in the sand ❤️

5 more miles today bring my to a final total miles of 113 of 100.

Im so glad to have met my goal and Im even more glad to have spent May moving my body & bringing my walking muscles out of hibernation. It’s been a joy.

Day 30!

Had such a blast at work today. Yes, that’s me. I’m the chicken. Somehow, I lost a game of farkle that I didn’t even play 💁🏾‍♀️ & the consequence was a chicken suit for the day 🤣

Also, I think I love pickle ball. I’ve been wanting to learn for a while & I finally did today 🤩

Today was a good day to hit 100 miles - 103 actually.

I had an amazing 4-mile skate with my son & at one point he was out in front of me & I realized that I can keep up with my 11 year old (he’ll be 12 next week) Better than any number in the scale was the fact that I can do life with my kids.

What a glorious non-scale victory for this challenge. I love to set goals, but man am I learning to lean into embracing & finding join in the journey 🤩

My why...

In the past, my weight has always been up and down. I’ve found various ways to drop weight and I do it pretty well. However, the weight ALWAYS came back on. If it’s not stress, it’s having babies. If it’s not overeating, it’s not eating enough. If it’s not the carbs, it’s the fats. I’ve found that my problem in the past was that I’d always focused on losing weight, but I never really tried to be healthy. I was always cutting something out of my diet, but not paying much attention to the quality of the foods that I was leaving in.

Enter Trim Healthy Mama. My draw to Trim Healthy Mama was that I was told I was going to lose weight AND I was going to be able to eat bread. I was sold at eat bread. Well, that’s not quite true. I was a skeptic for months. My best friend Katrina is a THM guru and when she was telling me about it I just didn’t believe her. How can you possibly eat cake for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, cheeseburger pie for dinner, and still lose weight? And dont forget, I was still stuck on bread. I resisted.

Finally, in June 2018 everything changed. I saw myself in the picture that is the “before” picture of my profile photo. I couldn’t believe my eyes. As soon as I stopped crying, I asked Katrina to give me the details on THM, and don’t leave out the bread parts. I jumped all the way in. I made fast progress and I lost 60 pounds in my first six months. After that initial big loss, I slowed down. Then, something amazing happened. I went a full year in maintenance mode and I actually maintained! I did not gain a pound back. That has never happened.

I have told many friends and family about the plan and tried to give this gift away, but it hit me. I have to do something bigger with this. Now that I am back in weight loss mode (this time to hit my goal weight) I would love to run this next leg along side others with similar goals.
