Yesterday I guided a small private group at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, in the Native Texas Park.

It’s very urban.
You can hear the road.
You see buildings.

And still… we found calm.

We walked slowly through the prairie.
We noticed the winter grasses moving in the wind.
We listened to birds (and yes, a few cars too).

Nature connection does not need a pristine forest.
It can happen right here in the city.

You just have to slow down long enough to notice. 🌾

I spent the first day of the year on the trail.
Walking slowly. Clearing my mind.

I thought about what I want to let go of.
And what I want more of in my life this year.

Nature always helps me find clarity.
I feel the presence of the Creator there, every time.

For this new year, I wish you clarity, intention, and the courage to choose what truly matters.

One step at a time. 🌿

I took this video at halftime during my son’s soccer game.
While the kids were catching their breath, I noticed the gentle ripples on the water nearby.
For a moment, everything felt still — just calm and simple.

It’s funny how peace can sneak in right in the middle of our everyday rush.
