This week I’ve been working on stillness.
Something I’ve honestly struggled with for most of my life.
I’ve come to understand that my chronic need for movement and achievement wasn’t just ambition—it was a fight-or-flight response, carried over from childhood experiences where stillness didn’t feel safe.
This current stillness is not the peaceful kind that just happens—
It’s the kind you have to choose in the middle of everything else.
I’ve taken time to journal. Meditate. Walk. Stretch.
To listen to what my body actually needs.
It’s been a week of deep emotional work, gentle awareness, and showing up for myself in new ways.
It hasn’t been perfect.
But it’s been honest.
And that’s the balance I’m aiming for—
Not silence, but softness.
Not control, but centeredness.
Stillness, even in motion.
Tell me—what’s helping you feel balanced lately?
