True or False 🤔 Positivity is always a good thing? FALSE 🙅‍♀️ Believe it or not, positivity can sometimes be toxic. It is humanly impossible to remain positive ALL THE TIME. 💡 It’s important to acknowledge our emotions even when they aren’t pleasant, because avoiding them can only make them BIGGER.

September is #NationalRecoveryMonth and of course we’re on board with raising awareness and doing our part to help end the stigma surrounding mental health. 👊 Most people who suffer from substance abuse and addiction often have a co-occurring mental health condition that leads to self-medicating as a way to cope with symptoms of the underlying problem. But, making therapy as accessible as possible is undeniably an essential part of prevention and treatment.

As reported by the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 46% of people who die by su***de had a diagnosed mental health condition, BUT nearly 90% of individuals who struggle with suicidal thoughts experience sympotms of mental illness.
