Six months ago, our lives changed forever. Our goal is to use our pain & suffering to honor Papa & help others that are going through the same pain💔❤️‍🩹✨

03/04/2022

Did you know that grief does not always refer to losing a loved one?😳 THAT’S RIGHT!👏🏻 Grief is a word that is used interchangeably with bereavement, but grief is not exclusively about the physical death of a person.🥀 Grief is actually just the human response to loss! Whenever we face loss, we often experience grief.🥲

Due to the Pandemic, the last few years have been filled with a multitude of various kinds of losses. It can be any loss – the loss of a husband, a wife, a partner. The loss of a son or daughter. The loss of health or bodily function. Even the loss of a job, a relationship, or way of life.

Grief is a normal response to loss during or after a disaster or other traumatic event. Grief can happen in response to loss of life, as well as to drastic changes to daily routines and ways of life that usually bring us comfort and a feeling of stability.

Common grief reactions include:

• Shock, disbelief, or denial
• Anxiety
• Distress
• Anger
• Periods of sadness
• Loss of sleep and loss of appetite

It is important to recognize grieving as a process, so you can give yourself time and permission to heal. ❤️‍🩹 If loss is a kind of pain, then grieving is the pathway to its healing. ✨

The amazing artist recommends taking a screenshot, to either print out, or just keep saved in your phone! Then you can check off the various days as you complete them! She also mentioned that she intentionally only created 30 days so that you can have one day of choosing to do whatever you want or nothing at all ✨

We are going to start today by eating a good meal😋✅ How will you start off March?♥️

Increasing existential awareness allows the exploration of new, different, and meaningful ways to connect to self, to others, and to the world. As such, it evokes not only healing, but also existential growing.🌹

Merry Christmas from our Guilty Family🐍✨ we are so thankful for all of you!!!!

Photos from Guilty Minds's post 12/25/2021

𝚐𝚞𝚒𝚕𝚝𝚢 𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚔 𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 🐍 Christmas is traditionally a time of celebration, eating, drinking, spending time with family and friends🥂 However, for those who struggle with a mental health condition, the yuletide season can be an especially difficult time.😩

Whether it’s the financial strain that accompanies gift buying, the cold and dark winter nights, or the reality of spending Christmas alone, there can be a number of triggers for mental health problems during the holiday season.🧠

First of all, it’s important to recognize that if you’re struggling this Christmas, you are far from alone.👏🏻 Mental health issues at Christmas affect more of us than you might think. A survey from YouGov found that a quarter of people say that Christmas makes their mental health worse, while a survey from the Mental Health Foundation found that 54% of people were worried about the mental health of someone they know at Christmas.😱

✨IN OTHER WORDS- If you struggle during the Holidays- whether it’s stress, anxiety, or depression- YOU ARE NOT ALONE‼️

You’ve got this.💪🏻 You are loved.♥️

Merry Christmas Eve🎄

Rest In Peace to a true fashion icon🕊 one of our biggest inspirations ~ Virgil Abloh.

@diet_prada
・・・
Virgil Abloh, artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear and founder of fashion line Off-White, has passed away at 41 years of age. The announcement was made on LVMH’s digital channels this afternoon, confirming his death from cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As one of the first Black designers to head a European luxury house, Abloh proved an inspiration to many who had never seen themselves represented at those upper echelons of design. Industry insiders are sharing their stories and condolences, which paint a picture of a hard-working and loving person who leaves behind a considerable impact.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nina Garcia wrote in her tribute: “You made a more beautiful, practical and energized world. And this energy will be your legacy because you are the main source of inspiration of a new generation of creators touched by your artistic and kaleidoscopic sensibility.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“He made it to the very top of the mountain and he reached down to bring so many along for the ride,” stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson said. “He set up systems to foster community, to educate, to give access to the very worlds that excluded so many for so long… He DID so much with his time here.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dior's Maria Grazia Chiuri called him “a brilliant designer who has paved the way for many young creatives”. Donatella Versace called him “an innovator. A creator for the history books” and Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli wrote that Abloh “changed the game of fashion with his disruptive humanity and curiosity”.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“His kindness and energetic generosity left a lasting impression on every life he touched,” Gigi Hadid said in a heartfelt post. “He made everyone feel seen and special.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rest in Peace, Virgil.

Sneak peak of what Momma Holly has been tediously working on for DAYS! Whenever we found this chair, we honestly didn’t expect to find a use for it🤣 The concept is to “GROW THROUGH WHAT YOU GO THROUGH”🌻 We call it “Papa’s Chair”~ As many of you know, I suddenly lost my Grandfather (my Mother’s dad) in September to Covid. The creative process of this chair is the perfect metaphor for what we have been going through these past few months. The undeniable parallel of taking something horrible & making it beautiful. Random Moment of Reflection: It’s pretty amazing that our entire Guilty Minds vision began with an 8 ft x 8 ft installation space that my step dad Nathan built for us- & now we are about to open a Dallas Location with over 20+ interactive installations🥲 while it’s obviously a major glow up, the coolest part is that Nathan has also been helping Kaleb build our new Guilty Minds Staple Installation🤩 an 8ft by 8ft guilty jail cell🔒 (swipe to end to see pic) The Jail is still in the process of being built + needs to be powder coated but how iconic!?🔥 love when life comes full circle 💫

LET THERE BE PAINT✨

08/16/2021

Overthinking means your mind has locked onto a topic (quite often something negative), and it won’t let go.🧠🔒 You feel stuck in your head, going over and over a situation without taking any real action on it.💭
It consumes your energy and decreases your ability to make decisions.🤯 It also increases your likelihood of experiencing anxiety and worries over the task at hand.😩 We also overthink in an attempt to change the past or control the future — which morphs into feelings of regret, shame, guilt, worry, and distress.⚠️
When you don’t allow yourself to overthink, you are more efficient, have more inner peace, and you are likely to be happier.✌🏻🕊☮️
