Don’t get played by others OR yourself.
Awareness is key.
If we are aware of our “emotional” temperature, we are more aware of our levels of comfortability.
If you are very comfortable then you might feel very cool in your body, focused, and calm. On the other hand, when you are very uncomfortable you might feel a little warmer in your body, distracted, and easily irritated.
Just think about it when you are physically sick, your tolerance level for others is much lower than when you are feeling well. The same is true of your emotional temperature.
