ALS INFORMATION!!
The symptoms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) usually develop gradually and worsen over time, although the rate of progression can vary from person to person.
The symptoms may include:
Muscle weakness: The earliest symptoms of ALS often involve muscle weakness, particularly in the arms, legs, and hands. This may cause difficulty with activities such as gripping objects, walking, or climbing stairs.
Difficulty speaking and swallowing: As ALS progresses, it can affect the muscles involved in speaking and swallowing, leading to slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, and excessive drooling.
Muscle cramps and twitching: Many people with ALS experience muscle cramps and twitching, which can be uncomfortable and sometimes painful.
Loss of motor control: As the disease progresses, people with ALS may lose control over their movements, making it difficult to perform even simple tasks.
Respiratory problems: ALS can also affect the muscles involved in breathing, leading to difficulty breathing or shortness of breath.
It's important to note that ALS can affect each person differently, and not everyone with the disease will experience all of these symptoms. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, particularly if they are persistent or worsening over time,
