Hello everyone this is Scott, I wanted to give you an update on Jeffrey.
Today is his sixth day since receiving treatment. We arrived home and Jeffrey began vomiting profusely for hours, combined to what I can describe as a bout of incontenece that can not be described this went on for hours. Once we finally got him cleaned up and in a depends he fell asleep for 24 hours. During that time he still continued to vomit. This was very exhausting and had to be careful of his tracheotomy so as not to aspirate.
Jeffrey received 5 hours of infusion additionally his hepatic infusion pump was filled with an additional 48 hours of chemo and steriods. Understand he is getting 4 very aggressive chemo's combine with a hormone steroid all combined is one course. It is unemanigable that one person could tolerate what he is going thru. We ended up back in the hospital for hydration and pain.
It seems that the effects build over the course of 10 days or so. Today is the worst so far he is so very weak and can hardly speak. I did manage to get him to try to eat a bit some both with shredded chicken and it seemed ok. I may try again later as well. All fluids saliva, urine and #2 are black He's freezing and continues vomiting constantly and his bone pain is horrible. Through it all he still thanks me.
We have reached 25% of our goal!!!
With your help we have been able to get help twice a week to help me take better care of him. They say the treatments build and are 21 days apart which will come quickly. Your help has truly been amazing we got help in, we refitted the bathroom to make bathing better for all involved, I was able to stock up on wipes, depends, ensure and so much more.
Our next push is to get him assistance to and from treatments and continue using the money needed to support our portion of medicine needed. I feel terrible that I can't provide for all as many know I have used most of our savings till now
Jeffrey and I are so thankful and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
