At the November 18 General Membership Meeting, DCDS President Dr. Andrew Read-Fuller and TDA President Dr. Glen Hall shared a memorable exchange that underscored the strong partnership between the two organizations. In a nod to DCDS tradition, Dr. Read-Fuller presented Dr. Hall with a classic cowboy hat, a gesture that was warmly received by attendees. Dr. Hall awarded Dr. Read-Fuller a service plaque, recognizing his outstanding leadership and commitment to DCDS. The evening continued with Dr. Shivam Mehta’s informative CE presentation on maxillary expansion techniques, along with ongoing support for Union Gospel Mission Dallas through the DCDS service project.

A shout out to DCDS member Dr. T.Bob Davis on his well-deserved award!

AGD presented the 2025 Humanitarian Award to T. Bob Davis, DMD, MAGD, of Dallas, Texas, for his nearly 50 years of tireless volunteer service. Since 1977, Davis has led more than 2,500 volunteers on student dental mission trips across Latin America, providing essential care and establishing lasting clinics in underserved communities. His humanitarian spirit extends locally through volunteer work serving foster youth and individuals experiencing homelessness. A past Texas AGD president and accomplished musician, Davis exemplifies compassion, service, and leadership in both dentistry and life.

Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS), the local component society of the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association, is a professional association representing general dentistry and the ten specialties of the American Dental Association. DCDS is committed to the enhancement of the public’s oral health education and dental well-being, ongoing continuing education and the promotion of professionalism and quality in dentistry.

To qualify for membership in Dallas County Dental Society you must be a licensed dentist in the state of Texas with a primary practice located in Dallas County. Texas A&M University College of Dentistry faculty, graduate students and residents are also eligible.
