If you have always only had you to rely on, it’s HARD letting someone else take your life in their hands.

It almost feels as if you are betraying the only person who has ever shown up for you. And in a way you are. You are abandoning the you built on survival. The version of yourself that thrives when all hell breaks loose. You have made an exchange.

You no longer have to perfect each step with the precision of a neurosurgeon. Someone greater has stepped up and He never fails.

In fact, He wouldn’t leave you when you had to play Superman.. . He warmed you while you braved the storm. He comforted you when your way was hard. He lifted you when you fell victim to this world.

You are kept, you are loved, you are safe.
