Discover in depth, the proper techniques, protocols & hand placements to enhance comfort & progress labor during childbirth in our online doula training.
When, Where & how:
Tubercles: Positioning your hands at the front of the tubercles to gently pull back creates space in the inlet making room for fetal engagement and rotation
Sacrum: Applying Palm/finger pressure toward the top of the sacrum, assists in outlet opening
Ilium and iliac crest: Applying fingers over iliac crest and Palms against the ilium pressing inward, facilitates outlet opening
Ischial tuberosities/Sitz bones: Applying counter pressure using palms, countering the mother bearing down, pushing outwards, facilitates outlet expansion creating room for baby to rotate and descend
