Resource Center is one of the primary lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual plus (LGBTQIA+) and HIV/AIDS service organizations in North Texas. The Center offers many LGBTQIA+ services to the community and operates one of the largest LGBTQIA+ Community Centers in the United States. er 62,000 people each year through its programs and services. Through its health and medical services, the Center is a leader in HIV/AIDS education, prevention, and services, always putting itself at the forefront in the battle against this epidemic. In addition, the Center provides a full spectrum of STI prevention education, screenings and treatments. A staff of over 75 staff members are supported by over 1,200 volunteers. Resource Center operates: the Community Center, Health Campus, LGBTQ Health, Nelson-Tebedo, Dental Health, FUSE, GenderBrave, Youth First, THRIVE, Women with Pride, Grupo Orgullo Hispano (GOH), United Black Ellument (UBE), and SexyHealth Mobile Unit. The Center is governed by a board of directors and operates through a combination of funds from individual donors, special events, private foundations, corporations and government grants.
