A Life in Moonlight

August 24 Sunday — 5 to 7 pm

Dallas Meditation Center
810 West Arapaho Rd, Suite 98, Richardson, TX 75080
https://dallasmeditationcenter.com/

Become swept away by the Moonlady and enthralled by the magic of the Moon in this purely poetic talk. Amy Martin, author of Wild DFW: Explore the Amazing Nature Around Dallas-Fort Worth (wild-dfw.com), will share her relationship with the Moon and expound on the nature of moonlight and the art of living with lunar phases, and how we owe our existence to tides and the nature of synchrony. Learn to live in tune with the Moon.

Part of the Dallas Meditation Center Awakening Heart Meditation & More weekend service on Sundays, inspired by the practices of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh: walking and sitting meditations, chanting and music, inspiring messages, and community sharing. Open to all levels of meditation experience and all faith traditions.

Amy Martin has been deeply tied to nature, on Earth and above, since a toddler. She writes about nature in books (Wild DFW, Itchy Business, Speaking of Mother Earth) and for GreenSourceDFW (greensourcedfw.org), and volunteers extensively to aid urban nature in its healing. She recommends a good howl at the Moon on a regular basis. Better than therapy. Which is why she’s called the Moonlady (moonlady.com).

Grief asks us to slow down. To feel. To be with what is.

Each Sunday, we’ll explore how yoga can help us gently tend to the wounds of loss. You’ll be part of a small, intimate group (8 participants max), where your grief is honored and your presence is welcome.

Movement. Journaling. Sharing. Meditation.
All levels welcome — no yoga experience needed.
Sundays, Sept 7 – Oct 12 | 1:30–3:00 PM
