05/05/2020

We're glad to be welcoming you back to our clinic for your regularly scheduled appointments. Your visit might be a little bit different than you're used to as we make sure to follow the new COVID19 protocols to keep both our patients and employees as safe as possible.

We ask that each patient have no more than one person accompanying them if needed. For the time being, no children will be allowed in the clinic. Per Dallas County requirements, you must wear a mask (or have a cloth face covering) over your nose and mouth during the visit. You will be asked a series of short questions and have your temperature taken upon entering. We’ll be keeping waiting room numbers down to meet with social distancing guidelines so you may be asked to wait in your car until it’s your turn to be seen.

If you are feeling unwell or have been exposed to COVID19 in the last few weeks, please call to reschedule your appointment or change it to a telehealth visit.

We’ll be cleaning rooms more thoroughly between patients and public areas throughout the day. We’re also monitoring the health of employees with the same diligence. Thanks for working with us to keep us all safer!

Hello. Unfortunately, our phones are down right now. Our phone provider is working diligently to get everything back up. We thank you for your patience.

What Does a Person with Glaucoma See?

We have come to the tail end of World Glaucoma Week, we know that Glaucoma affects the peripheral vision, here's a helpful video that shows what the world looks like with Glaucoma.

If you have glaucoma, the single most important thing you can do for yourself is to make sure you are taking your prescribed eye drops and keeping your scheduled appointments. Use an alarm on your watch or phone to remind you when to take your medications, and make sure to pick up your next bottle before the old one is empty so you don’t miss a dose. (If your eyes burn after putting in glaucoma drops, you can try “cushioning” – put in a drop of artificial tears five minutes before you use your glaucoma drop.)
