Geomatics Technician
Alliance GeoServices is a Land Surveying firm based in the DFW Metroplex and registered to serve the State of Texas and Louisiana. Alliance GeoServices is certified as MBE, DBE, SBE, and Texas HUB. Our goals are serving our clients with quality survey work while becoming our clients’ allies in their projects from start to end.

Our services include Boundary surveys, Land Title Surveys, Topographic & design Survey, Right-of-way mapping, Route Survey, Construction Staking, Record / As-built Surveys, Condominium documents, Platting, FEMA Elevation Certificates, and others.

Duties:
• Field
o Perform fieldwork for land surveying scopes of work including but not limited to construction staking, boundary location, ALTA, and topography.
o Organize field staking materials as necessary.
o Operate GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
o Transfer files between data collectors and internal company project folders.
o Maintain productive working relationships with all clients and coworkers.
o Adhere to the company’s Safety, Quality Management, and Equipment Maintenance policies.
o Promote a friendly atmosphere within the team, encouraging the team to take ownership.
• Office
o Field Data processing
o Research Public Records and other documents
o Drafting of Deed Sketches
o Assist with boundary computations and analysis
o Preparation of three-dimensional surfaces for Topographic Surveys
o Preparation of boundaries, topographies, easement drawings
o Assist with preparation of field packages and interact with survey crews to provide data needed in the field.
Experience/Requirements:
• Must be proficient in Auto-CAD Civil 3D (1 – 2 years)
• Field experience knowledgeable with the use of Total Station, GPS, and Surveying Software packages
• A driver’s license is required. Clean driving record a must.
• CST or LSIT certifications are a plus
• Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural, or urban surroundings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances
• Ability to read plans. Strong math skills.
• Must be able to complete the OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid training
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
