Our latest mens outing was all about fellowship and great food! Our gentlemen enjoyed a BBQ lunch catered by Roger from Soiree Chef Group, and it was a hit—delicious food paired with even better company. With 116 men calling Independent Living home, we love seeing new friendships form and connections grow through meaningful gatherings.

🤘 Go Horns! Today, burnt orange pride filled Edgemere as we hosted an alumni gathering for our University of Texas graduates. From favorite memories to college-day stories, it was a wonderful time reminiscing and reconnecting over shared experiences.

Before their busy night of deliveries, Comet and Cupid made a special stop at Edgemere for our holiday party! 🦌🎅 With everyone together, laughter and cheer filled the room, and the warmth of the season was felt by all as we celebrated this special time of year.

Our community was treated to the very best kind of local shopping from our very own Knitwits 🧶💙 A present handmade by loving hands is truly unbeatable.

After spending the year knitting with care and creativity, their annual sale raised money through the sale of beautiful handmade items. We’re so grateful for their generosity, talent, and dedication — they truly are a blessing to us all!

The holiday spirit is in full swing at Edgemere 🎄
Our lovely Hospitality Committee enjoyed adding festive touches to the community tree in the lobby, followed by holiday cookies and a gourmet hot chocolate bar, generously sponsored by Nathan from Amity Home Care. The season continues to feel merry and bright!

We had a sweet time at Edgemere Plaza’s very first candy-making class! 🍬 Over 35 residents learned how to create delicious treats, from candy canes to lollipops, and loved tasting their creations.

We were thrilled to celebrate our cherished resident Bedelle Langdale, who turned 98 recently, with a very special surprise. Her grandson Travis Brewer—TED Talk speaker, Mavs halftime performer & Ninja Warrior winner—joined one of her fitness classes to help mark the occasion.

His inspiring message and amazing athletic demonstrations lit up the PAC, making Bedelle’s milestone birthday truly unforgettable.
