Hosts and PTSI Resilience Trainers John Salerno and Samantha Horwitz talk with John Hosea, Law Enforcement Chaplain, Hostage and Crisis Negotiator, and Mental Health Counselor on Badge of Honor TV.

With years of experience supporting first responders, veterans, and individuals navigating trauma, crisis, and high-stress environments, John specializes in bringing calm, clarity, and compassionate guidance when it matters most. His approach blends crisis negotiation techniques, evidence-based counseling practices, and faith-informed chaplaincy, allowing him to meet people where they are—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Whether he is standing beside an officer after a critical incident, coaching a couple through the strain of service-related trauma, or negotiating in high-risk situations, his mission remains the same: restore hope, stabilize crises, and empower resilience. Behind the Badges of Honor

We are dedicated to the healing of our men and women in uniform both current and former. Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, First Responders, and our Military. Traumatic experiences resulting in PTSI (Post Traumatic Stress Injury) account for more than 22 suicides a day by our first responders and military men & women. But trauma and PTSI is not reserved for those who go to war. Whether it was 9/11 which caused my PTSI, to coming upon the victim of a homicide, or fatal accident, the drowning of a child, a fire that took the life of a fellow firefighter or making the decision to take someone's life on the job. It happens everyday. Where do you go to debrief? Are you forced to "talk about it" with someone who has never walked in your shoes? The current and former law enforcement officers behind A Badge of Honor are here to help. We’ve been there. We’ve struggled and healed from PTSI and we are “honored to wear that badge. You are not alone. Remember #ItsOknot2Bok Contact us to schedule our workshop for your personnel 469-232-7894
