Another Memorial Day weekend in the books with Carry The Load, and our hearts are full.

This weekend wasn’t just about carrying weight on our backs — it was about carrying the weight of gratitude, remembrance, and deep respect in our hearts. Walking alongside so many incredible people, sharing stories, honoring the fallen, and supporting those who continue to serve… there’s truly nothing like it.

To the entire Carry The Load team, the volunteers, the Gold Star families, the veterans, the nonprofit partners, and every single person who showed up: thank you. Thank you for creating space for meaningful connection and for keeping the memory of our heroes alive in such a powerful way. You turned a weekend into something deeply memorable and sacred.

We are forever grateful to be part of this mission. The load feels lighter when we carry it together.

Hosts and PTSI Resilience Trainers John Salerno and Samantha Horwitz broadcast LIVE from Carry The Load on Badge of Honor TV.

Carry The Load is a non-profit organization that exists to preserve the sanctity of Memorial Day through community gatherings and storytelling to unite Americans in appreciation for the sacrifices made by a few who carried the load for all. What started in 2011 as a grassroots effort by Veteran U.S. Navy SEALs, Clint Bruce and Stephen Holley has now grown into a nationwide movement with people honoring and remembering our nation’s heroes throughout the year.

Memorial May which runs from April 28 - May 26, features hundreds of events across the country that allow Americans the opportunity to honor the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes to preserve our freedom.

A Badge of Honor offers workshops to first responders across the nation, working with mental health liasons and critical incident management teams for Post Traumatic Stress Injury Recovery, wellness and resilience.
