Hosts and PTSI Resilience Trainers John Salerno and Samantha Horwitz talk with Travis Gribble, retired law enforcement officer, speaker and Warrior PATHH Guide with Boulder Crest Foundation on Badge of Honor TV.

Travis Gribble spent 24 years as a SWAT officer. specializing in SWAT.
He began his career as a Deputy and Sergeant with a small Michigan agency. before moving to the Mesa Police Department in Arizona, transitioning from a 20-person agency to one with 900 officers.

Like many in law enforcement, Travis faced significant personal challenges, including depression, rage, alcohol abuse, and suicidal thoughts, but the culture discouraged seeking help. His breaking point came in March 2021 as Team Leader on a failed hostage rescue where two of three hostages died. It was his last call, leading to his retirement about a year later.

After intensive therapy, he attended the Warrior PATHH program in 2024, which transformed his life by giving him new tools to process trauma and regain control. In October 2024, he became a contractor for Boulder Crest, and in November 2025, he joined as a full-time PATHH Guide.

Behind the Badges of Honor

We are dedicated to the healing of our men and women in uniform both current and former. Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, First Responders, and our Military. Traumatic experiences resulting in PTSI (Post Traumatic Stress Injury) account for more than 22 suicides a day by our first responders and military men & women. But trauma and PTSI is not reserved for those who go to war. Whether it was 9/11 which caused my PTSI, to coming upon the victim of a homicide, or fatal accident, the drowning of a child, a fire that took the life of a fellow firefighter or making the decision to take someone's life on the job. It happens everyday. Where do you go to debrief? Are you forced to "talk about it" with someone who has never walked in your shoes? The current and former law enforcement officers behind A Badge of Honor are here to help. We’ve been there. We’ve struggled and healed from PTSI and we are “honored to wear that badge. You are not alone. Remember #ItsOknot2Bok Contact us to schedule our workshop for your personnel 469-232-7894
