Extended School Year (ESY) speech services refer to the continuation of speech and language therapy during the summer months for students who require ongoing support to maintain or improve their communication skills.

ESY services are recommended for students who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and are at risk for regression or who are working towards specific critical skills in the area of communication.

ESY speech services can be an important component of a student’s overall communication plan, helping them to maintain and improve their communication skills and achieve success in the classroom and beyond.
