Just last year, school-based clinicians were in high demand—sign-on bonuses, urgent emails from recruiters, multiple offers on the table.

Now, something feels different.

OT and PT positions are being cut. Some districts are leaning more on Regional Service Centers. Caseloads are uncertain, contracts are slow to arrive, and referrals are down.

Clinicians across Texas are already feeling the shift.

This isn’t to create panic—it’s to spark conversation and raise awareness.

🚨 Tip Tuesday: The Silent Profit Killer 🚨

The task you think is saving you money is actually costing you more than you realize.

Every hour you spend on low-value work = revenue left on the table.
Here’s the truth:
✅ If your hourly rate is $150 and you spend 5 hours on admin work… that’s $750 gone every single week.

DIY does not equal saving money. It’s slowing your growth, stealing your time, and adding unnecessary stress.

✨ Ready to fix it?
1️⃣ Audit your time this week
2️⃣ Highlight tasks that don’t need your expertise
3️⃣ Start delegating one task at a time

✨ Motivation Monday ✨
Last week had me moving non-stop—San Antonio staff training, then straight into Dallas, plus all the chaos that comes with the start of a new year. In the middle of the whirlwind, I kept coming back to something I always tell my team and my clients: Delegate and stay grounded.

It’s easy to preach balance and delegation when things are calm, but what about when the pressure is on? That’s when we truly show whether we’re living what we teach. For me, that means stepping back, letting go of control where I can, and trusting the amazing people around me to do what they do best.

✨ Leadership isn’t about doing it all—it’s about empowering others and protecting your own peace so you can lead well. ✨

So, here’s your reminder today:
✔️ If you’re feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to do it all alone.
✔️ Look at your plate—what can you hand off?
✔️ The strongest leaders know how to trust their team and create space for the things only they can do.

Your dreams need a healthy, focused YOU to thrive. Start practicing what you preach this week—you deserve it. 💡

Today was such a blessing! We joined Community Missionary Baptist Church, and Pastor Epps gave a powerful word about putting God first and not serving two masters. 🙌 That message hit different and moved Randall to say, “Today is the day.”

After church, it was a whirlwind—running around for back-to-school shopping and laughing about how we used to only get two pairs of shoes: one black, one white. That was it! Times have changed so much. These kids today have more than we could ever imagine, but we’re intentional about keeping them—and ourselves—grounded in gratitude, humility, and faith.

Life is busy, but moments like this remind me what really matters: God first, family always, and living with purpose. ❤️ What’s one way you keep your family grounded?

Remember when equity was the buzzword? When cultural humility and dismantling barriers were front and center? Fast forward to today: programs are gone, conversations are quiet, and yet the needs haven’t changed.

Were those actions genuine steps toward change—or were they performative gestures to ease collective guilt?

If equity truly mattered, why does it feel like an afterthought now?

I want to hear your thoughts: How do we hold ourselves—and our field—accountable beyond the moment?”**

🔥 Double tap if you believe accountability matters.

How My Admin Assistant Saves Me 10 Hours a Week!”
The academic year doesn’t have to mean endless paperwork. Here’s what my Admin Assistant does for me:
✅ Loads my ARD/IEP calendar
✅ Tracks FIE deadlines
✅ Sets up my caseload and schedule
✅ Creates data collection and logging templates for each school week
✅ Builds progress report templates and a goal bank for easy writing

Pro Tip: Your admin assistant can be a Virtual Assistant.

Allied Health Pros: Are You Ready for This?
The new budget reconciliation law is the biggest rollback of Medicaid & ACA coverage in history, and it directly impacts therapy services and vulnerable communities.

This year made one thing clear: the old way of securing school contracts no longer works.
Even our most reliable partners had to pause or restructure due to unexpected funding delays and staffing shortages.

We had to pivot. Fast.

💡 Instead of waiting for August, we reimagined our approach:
✔️ Built early relationships using our Referral Outreach Specialist
✔️ Focused on multi-year contracts for long-term security
✔️ Took a hybrid approach — RFPs and direct partnerships

The result? We stopped playing defense and started planning smarter.

Tip Tuesday: If you’re still relying on last-minute outreach, you’re gambling with your revenue and your sanity.
Start earlier. Secure smarter.

District Clinicians Are Already Being Let Go.
And the school year hasn’t even started.

In the past two weeks alone, I’ve spoken with several allied health clinicians — SLPs, OTs, PTs, psychologists, behavioral, and mental health providers — whose contracts were rescinded without warning. Some had already begun onboarding. Others were counting on these roles to sustain their income this fall.

💔 This is not hypothetical.
The cuts have begun. Quietly. Strategically. But deeply felt.

In this week’s post, I’m breaking down:
📉 What’s behind the cuts
🚨 What this means for school-based professionals
🛠️ What we can do as a community

If you’re a school-based clinician: ask questions. Check your status. Don’t wait for the email that starts with “unfortunately.”
If you’re a contractor: be ready to serve ethically and wisely — but don’t undercut your worth.

This is the moment to be loud. To advocate for student access and professional protection. To fight for the future of school-based allied health.

Working Woman Wednesday 👩🏽‍💼💪🏽
Bringing my daughter into the boardroom isn’t just about showing her what I do — it’s about showing her what’s possible.

It’s about legacy.
It’s about leadership.
It’s about her knowing that she belongs in every room — not just because of who raised her, but because of who she is becoming.

She’s watching how I lead, how I build, how I navigate tough calls and big dreams — and my hope is that one day she’ll walk into her own boardroom knowing she deserves to be there too.

Here’s to the next generation of bold, brilliant women who will never second-guess their seat at the table. Let’s keep showing them the way. 💼💕

Waiting too long to hire help cost me more than just time.
It slowed my growth, stole my weekends, and made me feel like I was stuck in a cycle of survival.

💸 Research shows business owners spend up to 16 hours a week on admin tasks.
If your billable rate is $100/hour, that’s $6,400/month lost to work you shouldn’t even be doing.

💡 Tip Tuesday: Hiring smart help is how smart businesses scale.
Don’t wait for burnout — start delegating while you still have the capacity to grow.
