That's me and my mom.

I think I was 1... and I can almost guarantee that within a few years she was chasing me down telling me to wash behind my ears.

Sound familiar? Because whether it was your mom, your auntie, your grandma, or your bonus mom, somebody loved you enough to make sure you left the house clean.

Today we honor all of them. Some of us are celebrating, some of us are remembering, and some of us are just holding that love a little quietly today. We see you.

I’m looking at this photo of my wedding party and realizing that 5 out of the 8 women standing by my side are nurses. Honestly, it makes perfect sense. These are the people who can handle a crisis with total composure, stay on their feet for 12+ hours without breaking a sweat, and still show up for the people they love.

​To my bridesmaids and every nurse grinding through the long shifts and the chaos: Thank you. Healthcare would literally fall apart without your expertise and your heart. You guys are the ultimate backbone of our community, and I'm lucky to have so many of you in my corner. 🩺✨
