OUT OF TOWN PATIENTS: 6 months after undergoing the 24 hour recovery breast augmentation with a peri-ar**lar (ni**le) lift, our patient can’t believe how natural her results look. Her case was a bit more difficult because of how large and droopy her breast pocket is but notice that when the sizing for the implants is correct, the pocket fills up maximally. This, in turn, looks most natural. She’s thrilled with her results and we’re beyond honored she traveled from afar to see us!

Notice that at 6 weeks postop, her implants were still sitting high and her ni**les were situated lower on the breasts. However, when the implants fully “dropped and fluffed” after 6 months, the ni**les are more centered and the implants fill out the breast pocket. Our patient originally had poorly defined breast folds (hence why her incisions are a bit more noticeable) but her incisions have lightened considerably and will continue to lighten with time. Remember, it takes several months for implants to fully settle so give your body at least 3-6 months to allow for the “drop and fluff”!

IMPLANT REMOVAL + LIFT: Our lovely patient had enjoyed her implants for >10+ years but felt it was time to get them removed. Because she had a fair amount of excess skin, she also opted to undergo a breast lift at the time of explantation. It’s only been 6 weeks since our patient underwent her procedure but she is already enjoying her new look! Can’t wait to post her before/afters in several months when she has fully healed!

IMPLANT REMOVAL: Let’s face it…implants aren’t for everyone. And often, after having them in place for 15-20 years, it’s just time to move on. Whatever your reason may be to remove your implants, know that you don’t always need a lift or any other procedure after removing them. Our lovely patient, who is in her late 60s, opted to simply remove them and 2 months after undergoing explantation, her breast tissues have retracted nicely and she has a natural, tear drop shape. So remember, just because you have had implants for several years doesn’t mean you have to replace them. If you’re wanting them removed, feel free to ask for that!

Because afterwards, patients do not complain of neck/back pain, are able to exercise without using 2-3 bras, and can find bras/clothes that fit properly. FACETITE with MORPHEUS 8: 3 months after undergoing FaceTite and Morpheus 8 with neck liposuction, our patient’s lower face and jawline definition is on point! Her lower face has assumed a V shape (instead of her previous round shape) and she got rid of that dreaded double chin appearance. 3 MONTH UPDATE: Our patient is looking absolutely radiant after undergoing a tummy tuck and liposuction of the lower back, upper arms, and thighs. ⚡️MONDAY MOTIVATION: We are so incredibly proud of this patient and her amazing result! She presented with a significant amount of breast asymmetry and hoped to have more symmetrical breasts so her clothes fit better. Her pointier right breast had very little volume (and a small ar**la) compared to the droopier and larger left breast. We decided on a staged approach to help her get the best possible end result. Stage 1 consisted of a peri-ar**lar lift and scoring of the right breast tissue, along with a left sided breast reduction. Stage 2 was a breast augmentation with saline implants. By staging these surgeries, we were able to achieve a more predictable result, culminating in a beautiful end result. Remember, staged surgeries are often needed with more complicated cases because they allow us greater control in dictating the final result.

CAPSULES: Let’s talk about them. Whenever a foreign object (i.e breast implant) is placed in the body, the body “walls” it off by forming scar tissue around it. This is called a capsule. Some capsules are thick and painful, necessitating removal. Others are thin and transparent, like the one pictured in this patient. In this case, the patient’s breast implants were placed underneath the muscle so the upper capsule is attached to the muscle and the lower capsule is attached to the ribs/periosteum. As you can see, the capsule is so thin and transparent that blood vessels running around the ribs are easily seen. When capsules are soft and thin, there is no need for aggressive capsulectomy (meaning removal of capsule) because the risks, including lung puncture, outweigh the benefits. Remember, if you are wanting your implants removed, discuss with your surgeon the extent of surgery/dissection that is best suited for you based upon your physical exam findings. People often like to use phrases like “en bloc capsulectomy” or “full capsulectomy” as the “gold standard” for implant removal but no one surgery is right for everyone!

She can easily find bras and clothes that fit properly (bye bye H cup bras!!). She has also started working out regularly to improve her overall health.
