We had Magical Journeys with the Oracle on 11/11 at the Empress in New Braunfels,Texas.

“Our circle of magic seeking dreamers were gathering in the backyard of The Empress, a magical shop in downtown New Braunfels, as we sipped on Dream tea, and enjoyed the chiminea fire made from applewood. We were ready to begin our workshop on Becoming a Dream Oracle.”

It was a wet, cloudy and grey afternoon when we set down our offerings to the wisdom of the Oracle, and laid down our fears to trust in the deeper realities of dreams. The Empress welcomed us as is…

We are excited to announce that Art on Main Gallery and exhibition curator Katherine Baronet are seeking a diverse group of women artists, with little to no gallery experience, to submit their works to participate in an exhibition entitled, “Women in Art – A Joyful Journey.” We are looking for artist’s interpretation of JOY, CREATIVITY and COLOR, in these mediums: Paintings, Drawings, Photography, Ceramics, and Sculpture.
Artists should reflect on stories, life journeys, or experiences in their lives, it could be imaginative or dreamlike. Something that evokes brilliant color, powerful energy and/or joyful memories.

The Oracle at Delphi is a place of sacred dreaming and visioning. A place of getting back to the beginning of all things, a place known as the navel of the world, the omphalos stone anchors the energy, known as the stone of destiny, where we are rooted in the world soul.

Delphi means womb, and caves are also sacred places of dreaming and visioning. A sacred place where we can go to connect with the deeper self, and oracular wisdom that dwells within.

The temple of Delphi was taken over by the God Apollo, but held originally in female wisdom traditions of the Pythia priestesses, who guarded and embodied the oracular powers of place, the womb of dreams, the navel to the origins of the world soul.

Join me as we track our primal beginnings and remembrance of oracular wisdom in Becoming A Dream Oracle.

“We must each in our own way resist the pull of apathy. Not only in relationship to the troubled world around us, but towards our own hearts. That icy spread around our hurt which protects us too well when it keeps grief frozen. That shrug towards our own wounding which regards our pain as common, and says, “what else is new?”

We may have difficulty recognising it as oppression because we’ve never learned to give voice to the wound. But there is a song that needs to be sung from there. And anything that silences it, like the underestimation of our pain, the dismissal which says nobody wants to listen, or the inner cajoling with tells us to get over it already – all of these strategies which once protected us eventually become our own oppressions.

It is the other voice – the one which has never been given encouragement, the one who is burdened with shame, who is terrified of emerging – this is the one we need to lend courage to. This means standing up defiantly and repeatedly to the invalidations we’ve grown familiar with, demanding the right with which we have been gifted, inherent to our life, to sing.”
