During AAD last week, we were thrilled to reconnect with familiar faces, Simran and Katherine. Both were former Medical Assistants from our U.S. Dermatology Partners Rockville, MD office and are now pursuing their dermatology careers as residents in training.

Simran, who worked with Dr. Benjamin Lockshin, is now a Dermatology Resident at Tufts University. Katherine, who worked with Dr. Aubrey Wagenseller, recently matched at the University of Virginia and will begin her residency this summer. An incredible accomplishment for both!

Their journeys show just how far a career in dermatology can take you. From supporting patient care as Medical Assistants to stepping into residency, we’re proud to have been part of their path.

Congratulations, Simran and Katherine! We’re excited to see where your careers take you and we hope it leads back to U.S. Dermatology Partners.

🏀 With the excitement of the March Madness finals, our Home Office recently hosted our own “Trashket Ball” tournament. A little friendly competition, a lot of team spirit, and a fun way to connect during the workday.

Shoutout to our top 3 champions (and to everyone who brought their A-game).

April is Rosacea Awareness Month. This serves as an important reminder that this common yet often misunderstood condition affects an estimated 16 million Americans, according to the National Rosacea Society, many of whom may not even realize they have it.

Rosacea can present as persistent redness, sensitivity, or acne-like breakouts, and is frequently mistaken for other skin concerns. Because of this, many individuals go undiagnosed or untreated.

At U.S. Dermatology Partners, our providers work closely with patients to recognize rosacea, understand what’s triggering flare-ups, and find treatment options that fit their day-to-day lives and improve quality of life.

Raising awareness is important because earlier recognition can lead to better outcomes and real relief for patients.

On Friday evening during AAD, U.S. Dermatology Partners was proud to host our annual Mix & Mingle networking event at the Fire Restaurant & Lounge, located in the Art Hotel.

With rooftop views overlooking downtown Denver, the evening brought together residents, physicians, and team members for meaningful conversation and connection in a more intimate setting.

We’re grateful to those who joined us and helped make the night such a success.

We’re proud to share that Dr. Nathalie Zeitouni presented at this year’s AAD Annual Meeting during the Transplant Forum on Monday, March 30: Skin Disease in Transplant Recipients and Immunosuppressed Patients.

Organ transplant recipients and immunosuppressed patients face a significantly increased risk of skin cancer, often with more aggressive progression and complex presentations. Dr. Zeitouni’s presentation focused on immunotherapy for advanced skin cancer in this high-risk population.

Dr. Zeitouni also presented at this year’s ITSCC conference on Thursday, March 26, covering updates in clinical trials for immunosuppressed patients and highlighting her ongoing work at U.S. Dermatology Partners.

Dr. Henry Jeon, dermatology resident, and Sarah Berman, medical student, also presented an oral poster based on their work with Dr. Zeitouni on hedgehog pathway inhibitors in combination therapy for basal cell carcinoma.

We’re proud to have dedicated physician leaders on our team who are advancing dermatology and helping shape the future of patient care across specialties.
