Congratulations to Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Gil Quintanilla, for being named the August 2025 Team Member of the Month. " He is always willing to step in and help fellow team members with tasks. This past month, we had a large influx of cases, from one client in two days, and Gil left his normal rotation to help get all of these cases accessioned. He also helped get a new processing kit unboxed and QC'd quickly when we needed to put the new kit into use. Gil was patient in showing the cytogenetic students we had this summer how our procedures work and how we do them correctly. In learning FISH analysis, Gil is not afraid of a challenge and shows he wants to learn about all the different FISH probes we offer. Not only is Gil a wonderful teammate to the cytogenetics department, but he also shares his amazing attitude throughout ProPath, by being on the decorating committee and making the breakroom a fun place to be." - Nominated by several team members.

Congratulations to Lead Laboratory Assistant, Jennifer Keeney, for being named the June 2025 Team Member of the Month. "Jennifer has been facilitating the roll out of a new LIS system for our department, as we partner with Pathwatch and switch derm clients and cases to DOT. Jennifer led testing in this new LIS and then training of team members on day and night shift. She has been working closely with management at ProPath, as well as key contacts at Pathwatch IT and Pathwatch clients to implement accessioning cases into DOT, address client concerns, track cases, and respond quickly to requests from all. A team member recently said that Jennifer is a pleasure to work with and a superstar of our ProPath team!" Nominated by several team members. Way to go, Jennifer!

Congratulations to Receiving and Order Selection Clerk, Michael Roberts, for being named the April 2025 Team Member of the Month. "Michael has made an immediate impact here in the Histology Laboratory since joining the Receiving Department. When delivering boxes of ordered items to the department's designated delivery area, he implemented writing the name of the person who ordered the item on the box, as well as the Dept and the ENVI Req #. This allows a box to be immediately identified and has saved a lot of time trying to locate who ordered an item and where it belongs. Before this, we would have to open the box, examine the contents and "guess" who it belonged to. Michael has learned his job quickly and is able to restock our supplies in the gross room and Accessioning effectively. Congratulations to Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Kashmira Desai, for being named the February 2025 Team Member of the Month. "Kashmira is a prime example of Sonic's core values. Her dedication to her works stands out, as she is always in the lab, regardless of weather conditions. You can always reply on her to ensure the lab runs smoothly. Kashmira treats everyone with respect, and the best part is that she's always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in the lab. Recently she has been instrumental in the Sterilis project, handling the processing of biohazard waste for the new Sterilis system, all on her own. In addition to her regular responsibilities, she steps in to take care of send-outs when we are short-staffed. She also assists the technical advisor with additional studies scheduled throughout the year. Kashmira is a true gem in the core lab, and we are incredibily fortunate to have her on the team." Congratulations to Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Van Do, for being named the January 2025 Team Member of the Month. "We have undergone a lot of changes in Women's Health over the past year including the retirement of two long standing department leaders and the training of several new team members. Throughout all of this change, Van Do has been remarkable. There have been days when Van has covered two bench rotations by herself. She has switched gears and jumped in when she saw a task that needed doing, without being asked. She has trained new team members in addition to doing her own work. She has learned new tasks, such as pulling QC slides, to helping the Cytology Processing team, in addition to the work in her own department. Congratulations to , Sharon Dailey, for being named the December 2024 Team Member of the Month. "Sharon responded to a call to action one week after going live with a new client. When specimens are collected and submitted for bone marrow comprehensive evaluation, it requires a dedicated member at the time of collection to prepare slides. Slide preparation is time-sensitive and can be done by the practioners performing the procedure or by laboratory staff. When it was discovered that this was not being done at the site, Sharon volunteered immediately to fulfill this responsibility by responding to the call to action. 'I have made bone marrow smears and touch preps before and feel confident that I can do it. I am good with any decision that is made.' Since then, Sharon has been receptive to continous feedback to submit quality specimens for better patient care. She demonstrates all Sonic Core Values by recognizing the problem and providing a solution immediately.
