All healing takes place when the body and mind are in deep sleep. In Yoga Nidra, we can take the body and mind into the state of deep rest while maintaining a trace of awareness. This nourishes and replenishes our body, mind and soul.

This active breath work will help you dig around your subconscious mind for insights you can apply to your day-to-day life. By allowing the body's inner intelligence to emerge, it’s thought to have the potential to bring about improved self-awareness and a more positive outlook on life.
Music will guide your journey. An extended Sound Bath will promote deep relaxation, help you marinate in the awakened energy, integrate the experience, and then ground back into the earth.
Please bring what ever you need to make yourself comfortable to lay on the ground for most of the session: A yoga mat, blankets, pillows. You may also want a journal and pen to write down your experience and any revelations.

Why is it called Child’s Pose, and why does it feel soooo good?
The name is derived from the Sanskrit name, Balasana: “bala” or child and “asana” or pose. The story behind this name tells of a Hindu deity that comes to earth as an infant; and though he recognizes his divinity, he has the playful lightness of a child.
Child-like innocence is full of grace and ease, which is exactly how this resting pose makes us feel.
Child’s pose stretches our spine, hips, thighs, and ankles and is deeply calming. As the frontal spine compresses slightly, the lungs can expand into back body allowing for more opening and deeper breathing.
The fact that child’s pose is often taken after a difficult pose does make it even more of a refuge.
Next time your teacher offers up child’s pose as an option for practice, be sure to take them up on it as often as you can!
