Join us next Sunday, Aug 27, to soothe and balance the physical, mental, and energy bodies through the practice of restorative yoga and sound meditation for the chakras.

Restorative yoga is a lovely, gentle practice that offers a slower, meditative approach. Grounded postures are held longer to nourish us, and this specific practice will allow access to our centers of energy.

In this workshop with Diana Tennant, each posture is accompanied by therapeutic sound vibrations from crystal singing bowls and many other expressions of sound. Each sound, and posture correspond to the 7 main energy centers of the body known as the chakras.

This unique experience will help you release, soothe and nourish body, mind, and energy.

CCB is a safe and effective way to flood the body with oxygen and energy, balance the nervous system, strengthen lymphatic flow, improve focus and creativity, and enhance emotional wellbeing.

Participants frequently gain insight to current life challenges, or have resolve around past events, which allows for the growth needed to transform, live more joyfully, and have more fulfilling connections.

The unique experience will be practiced lying down, relaxed, with your eyes closed. Blankets will be provided, but please bring any other props, bolsters or pillows to feel supported. Comfortable clothing without tight waistbands is recommended.

A mudra is a sacred hand gesture or 'seal,' used during yoga and meditation practice as a means of channeling the flow of vital life force energy known as prana.

Jnana mudra is one of the most widely used in yoga asana, pranayama, and particularly during meditation practice. The word jnana means 'wisdom' or 'knowledge', so jnana mudra is the gesture of intuitive knowledge.

It creates a circuit when the index finger and thumb touch which allows the energy that would dissipate out into the environment to instead travel back up through the body.

Benefits of this mudra are that it promotes concentration. It also
helps lift dull energy, creates a more receptive state, calms the mind, and brightens the overall mood.

Depending on the lineage of philosophy, this may also be called "chin" mudra. You may also see a variation with the palm down, which creates a slightly different energy.

Give jhana mudra a try in your next pracrtice, and let us know what you think.

It’s heating up outside! 😰 During your day and also in your yoga practice, we want you to understand the power in taking a purposeful pause.

When you are rushing or overheated and feel the anxiety rising from within, a brief pause to rest your awareness back on to your breathing and reconnect with what’s important can be grounding, empowering, and make us better able to skillfully navigate what lies ahead.

Pushing yourself through your yoga practice is not productive if your energy and breath are overextended.

Child’s Pose is a great place to rest, but during the summer’s heat, you may find that Virasana, Hero’s Pose 👆🏼, will be cooler and just as calming.

Take that mindful, purposeful pause as often as you need so that you can use your energy wisely and focus on what really matters.

It’s back!! 🐈🐈‍⬛ KITTY YOGA 🐈‍⬛🐈
A fun-filled afternoon of 2 of our favorite things: yoga and little furry babies!

Join us as Lisa Bevers leads this special event to help support the local cat rescue group, Dallas Cat Lady.

There will be lots of little *adoptable* kittens and adolescent cats frolicking around the studio. 😻 Bringing fostered cats into a playful environment helps to socialize them and allows them to show their true personalities. We will incorporate play and cuddles into an easy-going, joy-filled gentle class.

Dallas Cat Lady's mission to reduce the homeless cat population through fostering, adoptions and trap-neuter-release in the Dallas area. They work with local shelters in fostering kittens and cats that need a little extra time to find the right home.

All donations from this event will go to support their efforts.
