Dr. Michelle Newby earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2002 and after practicing general dentistry for a number of years, she decided to pursue advanced dental education and training and entered Baylor College of Dentistry where she received her Specialty Certificate and Master of Science in Prosthodontics in 2008. Dr. Newby's Master of Science research consisted of bone regeneration and docking site healing after bone transport distraction osteogenesis. The purpose of her research was to test a new bone transport mandibular device and examine histologically and mechanically the regenerate bone. This research was published in The Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Upon completion of the Prosthodontics program, she was hired as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Dentistry, where she taught in the Restorative Sciences Department and then went on to work in private practice. In 2014, after several years of working in private practice, Dr. Newby joined Archpoint Implant Dentistry. Dr. Newby has a genuine passion for dentistry and patient care and has the training and experience to treat complex implant and restorative cases, cosmetic dentistry, and full mouth reconstructions.
