Casa de Vida is pleased to announce that Bridgette Peebles has joined us as the Director of Fundraising and Grants. She has already completed the RFP with several foundations and we have been accepted to complete the application for three key foundations to date. We now wait to see if they approve the application for a grant. Way to go Bridgette.

We are pleased to announce that Casa de Vida has been accepted as an approved nonprofit organization under the North Texas Give Day which is held on September 18th. Stay tuned for more details on how you can assist Casa de Vida to get donations on that dedicated day. We hope that everyone is staying warm on this very bitter cold day in Dallas, Texas.

Thank you to those who met with us last night to discuss the upcoming Golf Tournament and CEO/CFO launch party. We made great progress as the Sponsorship / Player Agreement was finalized, the Sponsorship levels were finalized, and Flyer is designed. Our webmaster, Rick Bradley, is creating an on-line registration link so a BIG thank you to him for all his assistance and support. We also want to thank Teresa Boardman at FireWheel for all her support on the golf outing. More information to follow.

DATE CHANGE: Anyone who is interested in becoming involved as a Board of Director, Committee Member or Volunteer, please join us at our monthly meeting set for Tuesday, NOVEMBER 11TH, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Casa Cha Cha located at 3613 Shore Boulevard, #180, Richardson, Texas. Happy Hour for food and beverages end at 6:30pm. At this meeting, we will conduct a recap from our first fundraiser, as well as our goals and objectives in 2015. Casa de Vida

The event last night at Bone Daddy's was a HUGE success. We want to Thank Bone Daddy's in Plano for donating the food. We also want to thank Daniel LaBroad/Ovation for purchasing the t-shirts. And a BIG thank you to the attendees to helped us raise over $3,000 and those who could not attend but donated money to get people out on bail with another $2200. Kevin, owner of Prairie Creek Portraits, took many, many pictures of the event so we will post them soon. Thank you again everyone. Next, we are attempting to schedule an outing at the Dallas Gun Club in November so postings to follow.

Thank you to our planning committee, Vicky Gillispie, Jane Smith, Helga Peebles, Karen Czarowitz and Kimberly Larsen, for the Jail & Bail event which is scheduled for October 24th at the Embassy Suites Hotel at 75 & 635 from 10:30 a - 2:00 p. The event will be tons of fun as those individuals who are arrested must make contact to others to help them raise their bail to get out of jail. Awards will be presented to those who raise the most in bail (donations).

There will also be numerous auctions items for people to place bids such as a 3-night hotel stay at Don Shula's Golf & Resort in Miami that includes free golf and gift certificate for the Shula's Restaurant, and many more items to choose.

Food will be served, along with a light alcoholic beverage. Anyone who is interested in attending, please email [email protected].

If you are unable to attend the lunch event, we have an evening event scheduled but more details to follow on the location.

Please find it in your heart to build a home for those who are not fortunate to have a safe and secure environment to live through a structured curriculum that will assist their growth potential both mentally and physically.

Donations can be a lump sum or a monthly recurring contribution. For example, a $100 single donation or you can opt for $10 per month for ten months. Any and all donations are appreciated!

Our first introductory meeting was a huge success and I want to thank everyone who took time in their busy schedule to attend. We recognized that there are so many different paths that we must walk to finalize our dream, but we are willing to walk at a rapid pace. Our September fund raiser will be a social media blast with the focus on "Build a Home for a Heart." Our October fund raiser is a "jail and bail." More details to follow for those who want to be involved. Thank you again everyone for building a safe and secure environment for our loved ones.
