Metro Heals was a gold sponsor at the Celebration of Hope Breakfast on May 10th. Hope Clinic of Garland is the only safety net free clinic in the Garland area, and they are facing difficult decisions to scale back their services due to lack of funding. Every dollar they receive makes a tremendous difference. Tanya Downing, pictured speaking at the breakfast, is the director of Hope Clinic. Recently, Metro Anesthesia had the pleasure of having Tanya speak at our “All Doctors” Saturday meeting.

On March 2, Metro Heals was a silver sponsor at the Open Arms Clinic Gala. Open Arms is a safety net free clinic in Arlington, TX that Metro Heals has supported over the last 2 years.

Metro is extremely proud of our very own Dr. Jenni Underhill who just returned from a trip to Ethiopia providing anesthesia services for life changing spine surgeries! This trip was through the Conscience International Ethiopia Spine Project. Dr. Underhill along with surgeons Dr. Ted Belanger, Dr. Shashank Gandhi, and Dr. Serena Hu were able to improve lives for so many suffering from severe scoliosis deformities. A true selfless act that we can all be inspired by!

Welcome back to all of our anesthesia heroes who just returned from Guatemala! Drs. Jamie Sunny, Simi Randhawa, Kerryn Rock, and Prisila Foss volunteered both their time and their amazing skill set to serve patients who needed life changing orthopedic surgery.
