This event aims to equip parents and caregivers with ideas on how to support and guide your adolescent on the spectrum as they work to acquire skills that will lead to achieving as much independence and autonomy as possible!
Jennifer Hines will discuss practical things you can do and steps you can take to prepare your tween and teen for adulthood. She'll discuss ideas and strategies for learning needed independent living skills, and offer practical approaches that can be replicated at home and in the community. She'll also touch on cultivating simple pre-employment skills by reviewing things you can do at home and in the community to prepare your tween and teen for employment.
