Forensic Counseling Services

Forensic Counseling Services Forensic counseling is the application of assessment and intervention services in legal settings. The address on this page is our maing address.

These types of services recognize the reality that there often is a third party, namely the court, involved in issues. Do not trust Bing, it will lead you astray. Our interview office is located in Lewisville, Texas across from City Hall. Supervised visitation services are offered throughout the metroplex and surrounding area.

We're always sad to see programs close, as there's more need than there are providers, but this is another example of why grant funding for day-to-day operations isn't a sustainable model. While fee-for-service isn't perfect, we're celebrating the start of our second decade offering supervised visits throughout the Metroplex.

When Sam Lafortune first heard that All R Kids (ARK) Supervised Visitation Center did not secure the funding needed to operate beyond the end of December, her first thought was about the dozens of families the center will no longer be able to...

Something we ran across again this morning, and that we've been teaching about for 20 years - it's the conflict not the divorce that causes children problems. From the article:

"But children in high conflict families whose parents got divorced fared the same as children in low conflict families whose parents stayed together.

In other words: High levels of conflict are a big problem. But a divorce can actually be part of the solution."

We often blame divorce itself for creating more broken families in the future. But a new study hints this may be wrong.

It's not unusual to see CPS in crisis. What caught our eye: "But providers say the national hourly average for a supervised visitation is $80 — the same as Arizona’s average." So we're almost 40% cheaper than the national average in cost to provide supervised visits. We think keeping costs down is one way we can better serve families in the long run.
