Lovve's Lantern Private end of life doula in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and aspiring hospice chaplain. Posts and thou

My name is Heather Lovvorn (she/her/they/them) and I’m an International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA) doula (2020) and aspiring hospice chaplain (Cherry Hill 2022). End of life doulas (also called death midwives or death doulas) are a growing group of non-medical practitioners who assist in the dying process, much like a midwife or doula does with the birthing process. We are community-ba

sed peer-support practitioners supporting the last months and days of a person’s life through legacy projects, vigil planning and family support during the dying process. In addition to my work as an EOL doula, I am also training to become a hospice chaplain with Cherry Hill Seminary's Community Minister Program and have begun the ordination process through Sacred Well Ministries to become a recognized clergy member. While open to all spiritual paths, I specialize in non-Christian faith traditions including Paganism, Wicca, Buddhism, and Unitarian Universalism. My approach as a doula is a three-part combination of practical planning and spiritual care to help my clients and their loved ones prepare for death. Through working with me, we can create legacy projects, plan a vigil around the last days of your life and help loved ones begin reprocessing after death.
