Quick update on my project, EmpowHER Pocket Garden 🌸 — we already got YES responses for donated wipes & bags 🙌🏾 and I’m meeting with a DISD trustee + city council rep next week for more support! 🙏🏾

In case you need a refresher, the EmpowHER Pocket Garden is a community healing space we’re building in Oak Cliff, featuring a free period care pantry for girls and women to grab emergency supplies on the go. We’re also creating youth-designed donation boxes to place across the city to keep it stocked. 💫

The September reveal is coming fast, so I’d love to hop on a quick Zoom TOMORROW (Wed 8/14) at 8 PM to check in and share next steps. I won’t hold you long!

🌸 In collab with Empower You, Period, Women Divine, NFP presents: The EmpowHER Pocket Garden Project 🩸Powered by the LOVE YOUR BLOCK DALLAS Grant!

🚨 A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND COMMUNITY PROJECT IS HERE! 🚨
Women Divine, NFP is bringing something groundbreaking to the Oak Cliff area—introducing the EmpowHER Pocket Garden Project, the first of its kind to combine beautification, free period product stations, and menstrual health education in a public space!
Funded by the Love Your Block Dallas Grant, this project is all about restoring dignity, breaking stigma, and transforming the conversation around menstrual health for girls and their caregivers.

Here’s what we’re building together:
🌸 A healing garden with native flowers and affirming murals
🩸 FREE natural period product stations
📦 Donation boxes to fight period poverty beyond the project
💬 Puberty & menstrual health education in a public, welcoming space

Ways to Get Involved:
✅ Volunteer – paint, plant, and set up the EmpowerHER Garden
✅ Donate – natural period products (pads, wipes, liners)
✅ Sponsor/Partner – help with supplies, refreshments, or funding
✅ Join the Planning Committee – help lead and organize
✅ Support Media Outreach – amplify this powerful, historic project!

Can we talk for a minute? I know this Monday might have hit different. Maybe you woke up feeling heavy, looking at that to-do list like it's Mount Everest, or watching everyone else seemingly have their life together while you're just trying to make it through the day.

Girl, PAUSE. Take a breath with me.

Here's what I need you to understand: You get to choose the energy you bring to this Monday. Your vibe is your responsibility, and it's also your secret weapon. ✨

You don't have to revolutionize your entire life today. You just need to take the next right step. Your future self is counting on the decisions you make right now.
