Deeply Kneaded Massage

Deeply Kneaded Massage

This week I received my first
Sound vibration therapy at Deeply kneaded Massage Studio.
Kacy is 1 of only 600 people in the world with this training .
Paired with her 12 years as a leader in the field of relaxation through a variety of massage techniques the Sound Vibration Therapy is an amazing addition. Who knew the body could react to sound frequencies in such an easy application?
Do yourself a favor and try it once. Treat yourself to a new experience. You can thank me late
add this in between your massage appointments and see how wonderful you feel!

Did you know:

Just by simply petting a dog you can reduce your stress levels?

By reducing stress you can lower your blood pressure, relax muscle tension, slow your breathing, lower heart rate, and increase oxytocin production.

It is also really hard to not smile when petting a dog. Research also shows that holding a smile (even when you're faking it) tells your brain that you're happy.

So next time you see a little furry friend, do yourself a favor and show it some love.

Have you moved your body today?

Research has shown that walking promotes the release of brain chemicals called endorphins that stimulate relaxation and improve our mood. Walking does not have to be done at a fast pace to have stress-relieving benefits. Even a stroll at a comfortable pace promotes relaxation, studies indicate.

I hope you are all taking time to relax on this beautiful Saturday afternoon!

When I was a little girl, in the early 80's, my Dad was a massage therapist. He worked at a fancy club and had big name clients. We went to the gym as a family in the mornings. We were in a happy place.
After I was out of highschool and had spent a year goofing off, it was time to make decisions for my future. Massage therapy was an obvious and immediate choice. It was in my blood.
When signing up at Texas Massage Institute, I was told that I should have a backup plan. That the career span of an LMT was 3-5 years. "You have to really want it, have passion, intuition, strength, and endurance. It won't be easy" I was told.
They were right, but I wasn't going to let that stop me.
I passed with an average score of over 100 ( I like extra credit). Passed my state exam at the top percentage, and immediately started working at Massage for Health. After the first 3 years of my new career, I was the only one out of my class still working as a full time massage therapist.
I worked for chiropractors, kinesiologists, nutritionists, and spas.
After jumping around the field to find where I fit, I opened Deeply Kneaded Massage in March of 2007. Working for myself felt like the best option. After all, I am from a family of entrepreneurs.
Thank you to my parents for helping me through school. Thank you to my amazing teachers for giving me the knowledge that I needed to survive in the industry. Thank you to my clients that have supported me (some from the very beginning). Thank you to my husband for standing by me through it all. Thank you to God for the intuition that is required in this profession.
I feel blessed all of the time.

Heads up, I will be unavailable March 4-9.
I will be celebrating the lives of the two women most dear to me. My Mom and my second Mom. It is best that I am in a peaceful place of reflection for this. There are a few appointments left before I leave.

I am trying to make sure all of the appointments I scheduled while I was away got saved into my scheduling app. Apparently, at least one did not. Let me know if you texted me to schedule between the 8th and yesterday so I can confirm your appointment.

I am back in town. This morning was full of catching up on voicemail and email that I missed. My reception was very spotty on the first half of the trip and non existent in some places. If I missed you and haven't gotten back to you, I'm sorry. Hopefully everything is synced up properly now and my schedule is back on track.

Just a reminder, I'll be back in the office on the 17th. Next appointment available is on the 21st.

I will be in Mexico celebrating my 40th, chasing butterflies and catching waves February 7-16. I have no more available appointments until February 23rd.
I hope you all have a fabulous Valentine's day.

I have a few available appointments for the first week of February.

Just a reminder to take a moment to just be still. Take a few deep breathes. Think of something you are grateful for. Smile.
Small little breaks throughout your day will help ease stress. In turn you will feel better, sleep better, and focus better.

Next available appointment September 27th.

I hope you are all having a great start to your week!

Remember to take a few moments for yourself today. Just breathe and take a moment to be grateful.

Self care for me sometimes means a long drive through the desert with no cell service and my honey.

What do you do when you need a break from the madness?

Wishing all the Mothers out there a very special day!

Happy Earth day from my happy little porch lizard.

Happy Easter everyone!

Is self care on your to-do list? What do you do to center yourself?
I am looking forward to a day of self care in the near future. For me that will include all kinds of things. Nature, exercise, hot tea, and always a lavender Epsom salt bath and a book.
Take a moment to just be. Take care of yourselves.

Got my jab and I'm fully vaccinated now. If you are too, we can ditch the masks at your next appointment!

I got my jab and I'm fully vaccinated now. If you are also, we can ditch the masks at your next appointment. Yay!

Hey y'all! I'm sure by now you've noticed that it's a bit cold and icy outside. I will be safely waiting for this crazy freeze to pass before I head back to work. Keep yourself hydrated, take some breaks from sitting to stretch and move your body.
It is amazing how much you can relax the body with a simple 5 minute foot massage. Trade with a partner or just give yourself some love. Can't reach your feet? Soak them in a nice warm tub or grab a tennis or golf ball and simply roll your feet on it.
Stretch your neck by slowly dropping your right ear to your right shoulder, return to starting position and repeat on left side. Now try turning your head to the right and gently move your chin to your shoulder. Return to start position and repeat on the left side. Slowly drop your chin to your chest, return to a neutral position and slowly lift chin to feel the front of the neck open. Be slow and gentle with all of these moves. Make sure to start each stretch from a neutral head forward position. Take your time, stretching is not about rushing.

Happy Valentine's day!
I hope you are all cozy and warm getting a foot massage from someone you love today!
If you aren't.....take a moment for a little self care. Give yourself a face massage, soak your feet, and have a nice hot cup of tea.
Enjoy your "snow day"

Next available appointment is February 9th at 11 a.m.

Just a heads up, Feb 2 - Feb 9, I will be unavailable.
Heading out to find some solitude, rest, and recharge my spirit.
Plan ahead if you haven't already made your next appointment!

Don't let the holiday season leave you feeling like a zombie! Get ahead of the game and schedule your new year self care now.
Still shopping? Head over to and order a gift certificate for a massage or vibrational sound therapy for a truly unique experience.
